Angeline is a Natural Products Chemist/Phytochemist. Her research interest is in unraveling the Chemistry of medicinal plants, characterization and bioassay analysis of the pure isolates. She is a passionate, strong but flexible result oriented research scientist who achieves her goals with utmost drive. She advocates for the conservation of plant genetic resources especially those with therapeutic values. The output of my research is to solve societal problems by augmenting the supply of potent/alternative drugs from plant genetic resources to fill the void currently observed in healthcare systems due to multi-drug resistance and high cost of conventional therapies. She is also involved in preparation of detergents as an income generating activity for the Department and currently engaged in an on-going research which is geared towards Value Addition of the JOOUST Royal Antibacterial Liquid Hand Wash whereby the study aims at improving the quality and effectiveness of this detergent through injecting the antimicrobial principles isolated from a medicinal plant known to offer herbal remedies. She is an Alumni of the three Universities listed above and Deutscher Akademischer Austausdienst (DAAD). She is also a member of the Kenya Chemical Society (KCS), Natural Products Research for Eastern and Central Africa (NAPRECA), African Women Science and Engineering (AWSE), International Network of women Engineers and Scientists (INWES) and African Women in Biosciences and Biosafety (AWfB).
