Mr. Isaac Mamboh Nyamweno is an Assistant lecturer in the School of Spatial Planning and Natural Resource Management where he is also pursuing his doctoral studies in planning. He is a seasoned spatial planner with wealth of experience having served as a Physical Planner in the Ministry of Lands in Kenya for over ten years. He served in various stations as a civil servant including Nairobi, Kiambu, Vihiga and Bomet before joining Ethiopian Civil Service University in Addis Ababa City as a lecturer where he served for four and half years. He completed his tour of duty in Ethiopia in January 2012 and joined his current employer (Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology) in Match 2012.

After successfully completing his B.Sc in Range Management (2nd Class Honours Upper Division) at the University of Nairobi in 1990 Mr Isaac Nyamweno received a University of Nairobi Scholarship to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Urban and Regional Planning (1992-1994). In 1998 he received high-impact training in Rural Development for the Tropics and Sub-Tropics at the Food and Agriculture Training Centre Feldafing, Germany. He was sponsored by the Government of Kenya to pursue certificate in Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit at the Kenya School of Government in the year 2006.

His research interests include: urban and peri-urban agriculture; ecotourism; climate change adaptation and mitigation; non-motorized transport; planning for persons with disability in urban areas; and green infrastructure.
