Dr. Julia Ndong’a Owino holds a Ph.D in Pure Mathematics from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and technology. This research work was set to carry out investigations on Compact operators whose norms are eigenvalues, that is, the completeness, invertibility and convergence of these operators under the guidance of Prof. Omolo Ongati and Prof. Benard Okelo both of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and technology. Dr. Julia holds M.Sc.-Pure Mathematics from Maseno University (Kenya) under the guidance of Prof. John Ogonji Agure of Maseno University and Dr, Fredrick Nyamwala of Moi University. Dr. Julia also holds Bed..Sc from Moi University. Her research interest is in functional analysis, C*-algebra and operator theory, has the ability to write fundable proposals and a member of the following Professional bodies: African Women in Mathematics Association, Centre International de Mathematiques Pures et Appliquees (CIMPA) and West African Women in Mathematics.
