Kennedy Vaati Mutuku has training in Agribusiness Management at Undergraduate level. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture at the African Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Use of Insects as Food and Feeds (ACE – INSEFOODS) of JOOUST. His current research interests are: The Economics of Edible Insects Production as Farm Enterprises with a particular focus on Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) and the use of underutilized plant species – Black jack (Bidens Pilosa) in the formulation of cricket feed to reduce the cost of production. Other interests include but not limited to Food and Nutritional Security, Sustainable Agriculture, Agripreneurship, Micro Finance, Rural Livelihoods and the Blue Economy.
