I have over 22 years of professional experience related to water: water supply, irrigation, drainage and related rural structures, alternative natural energy (has research experience in wind energy), processing of agricultural products (has interest in physical processing Agricultural Products) and their environmental demands. In addition I have experience on management at senior level, rural development issues, policy matters and has participated in a number of seminars as facilitator and participant. Has written a number of technical notes, undertaken short consultancy contracts with NGO’S (Vired International, Osienala, Deprotecs and Compassion Ministries and others) all financed by International Donors. At the same time, I have been an Associate Consultant with Engineering firms, the SABBOUR Associates of Egypt in association with CAS Consultants of Kenya, Agrisystems and Log associates. Substantially therefore I have experience in project management, strategic Planning, feasibility studies, preliminary and final designs (irrigation, water supply, drainage and any other related engineering work), rehabilitation work, technical specification, preparation of tender documents, construction supervision, studies preparation, technical environmental assessment of an intervention (prior & after), proposal and report writing. Typical is the ADB funded Kimira-Oluch study that had all features of a project such as preparation, procurement, implementation and environmental evaluation. I was project leader and supervised a team of International and local consultants. Apart from my normal assignments, I am also currently coordinating with a number of NGO’s within the region, one currently on drip wind energy irrigation. I must say I have been in position of leadership since 1993. Among them I acted as the Managing Director for Lake Basin Development Authority from October 2009 and was confirmed in April 2011 to 2015. As the Managing Director of the 39,000 Km2 Lake Basin Development Authority I initiated various programmes and projects, touching on institutional restructure and development. I was awarded a certificate in appreciation of distinguished service to the Authority Board of Directors as the Secretary between 2010 and 2013. All my life I doubled in undertaking research and development. I have published a number of papers on Energy and Irrigation in a number of Journals. I am also travelled to other countries for purposes of work and Research; USA, Germany, Australia, India, Sudan, Ethopia,Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania, Japan and Burundi. To date I lecture at the university of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in Kenya in the School of Engineering and Technology (Renewable Energy), Part time lecturer at Egerton University (Department of Agricultural Engineering) and I also undertake consultancy services. As part of Egerton University Research Team -we developed for NAWASCO the Feacal matter Briquettes; now in the market. NAWASCO has then acquired a plant for production of Feacal matter briquettes. I therefore believe that I can take up any proffecional or otherwise challenge. Currently I am reserching on renewable on solid wastes in Kisumu Town.
