Dr. Jeffar J. Oburu is a multidisciplinary expert with a strong foundation in Applied Statistics, Actuarial Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Financial Analytics. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Statistics, a Master’s in Actuarial Science, and a CFA certification, equipping him with deep insights into financial modeling, risk assessment, investment analysis, and AI-driven decision-making.

Currently serving as a Lecturer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), Dr. Oburu is dedicated to mentoring future professionals, driving data-driven innovation, and fostering impactful entrepreneurship. His research and teaching interests span AI, data analytics, deep learning, machine learning applications, and computer vision, bridging the gap between theory and real-world AI-driven solutions.

Beyond academia, Dr. Oburu is an entrepreneur and business development strategist, actively involved in Business Development Services (BDS) to help startups and SMEs integrate AI and data analytics into their business models for scalability and sustainability. His expertise in FinTech, sustainable finance, and AI-powered predictive modeling enables businesses to adopt smart, risk-mitigating financial solutions.
