OVERVIEW:
Description of the Programme:

This program focuses on urban and regional planning, emphasizing the sustainable development of communities, cities, and regions. Students learn about land use planning, transportation planning, environmental planning, urban design, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems).

Admission Requirements:

Candidates must satisfy the minimum university entry requirements of KCSE Mean Grade of C+ (Plus) with C+(Plus) in Geography or Mathematics or Agriculture OR a C+ (Plus) in any one of the Science subjects and C(Plain) in English and Kiswahili.

STRUCTURE OF PROGRAMME:
Duration of the Program:

 a) The duration of the programme normally be a period of four (4) academic years of 8 semesters.

b) Students shall be required to undergo an Industrial Attachment of three (3) months at the end of second semester of the third year of study.

Graduates can work as urban planners, land use analysts, environmental consultants, transportation planners or project managers.
