OVERVIEW:
Description of the Programme:
This program is developed to train the water resource managers and environment managers in the
water, land and environment sector required to respond to declining water resources and the
climate change challenges. Students learn about hydrology, water quality assessment, watershed management, environmental impact assessment, and sustainable development practices.
Admission Requirements:
a)Candidates must satisfy the minimum university entry requirements of KCSE Mean Grade of C+ (Plus) with C+(Plus) in Mathematics and C+ (Plus) in either or Biology or Chemistry or Physics/ Physical Sciences and any of the Social Sciences. OR
b) Holders of relevant KNEC Diploma or diploma from accredited Institution.

Duration of the Program:
a) The programme shall normally be a period of four (4) academic years of 8 semesters.
b) Students shall be required to undergo an Industrial Attachment of three (3) months at the end of second semester of the third year of study.

Graduates can pursue careers as environmental consultants, water resource managers, hydrologists, or environmental policy analysts.
