Candidates wishing to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health programme at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology must meet the following requirements;
Be a holder of a Masters Degree in a relevant field from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology or any other recognized institution.

a) The PhD by Coursework and Research course shall normally take three academic years full-time offered by a combination of unit method, independent research and thesis.
b) The PhD shall take 5 academic years when offered on part-time basis.
