Dr. Maina Nyongesah holds a PhD in Ecology.
He is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Biological Sciences at Jaramogi Oginga
Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST). He is a visiting scholar
of University of Lay Adventist of Kigali in Rwanda under the Inter-University
Council of East Africa and the International Centre of Insect Physiology and
Ecology (ICIPE). He is a member of Kenya National Academy of Sciences and
Environmental Institute. His current research focuses on biodiversity
conservation and climate change adaptation where he has published over 29
research articles and presented findings in conferences. He has recently
developed interest in Ecological modeling and remote sensing with focus on distribution
and abundance of species in relation to climate change adaptation.
